Small Outboard Motors

People all around the world love to explore the life on the water and they simply love to move on the water with their family. Normally the boats that were used had oars, which have to be moved to and fro in order to keep the boat moving. It can be also very tiring for the person who is rowing the boat. Now there are small outboard motors as well as large size outboard motors. The leading outboard motors manufacturers produce the small motors and they are fully designed to take the boat across the water. These motors are made in order to get speed on the pond or lake and it can be great fun to move across the water in speed. The small outboard motors are the units that are totally self contained and is needed to motorize the boat. 

The various parts of the small outboard motors like the engine, propeller or jet drive, cooling unit, gear box etc are all attached to the rear of the boat and it can be used for starting as well as steering the boat on the water. It is totally self-movable and one has to just control the speed and steering of the boat. The outboard motors are devised in such a way that it can be easily taken out of the water in case of damage or if there is any sort of danger, or seaweeds have got caught in the motor etc. when the outboard motors are not in use then they can be tilted in order to take out all the rocks, seaweeds and sea garbage that has caught in the boat.  

The small outboard motors have different hoarse powers and there are small size motors that have 15 hp and are fully portable and needs a manual start. On the other hand there are large outboard motors that are from 15hp to 135 hp and are large enough to be carried on large expanses of water. First the Americans had launched many small motors in the market with the name of Johnson, mercury, Chrysler etc. later on the Japanese entered the market and took out motors by the name of Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Nissan etc. 

The different models have different horsepowers and one can take according to the hp needed that varies from 2hp to 300hp. The small outboard motors have the fuel tank that is either submerged or it is on the outer side. With time the china has also entered the market of small outboard motors and have taken out motors at a much lower cost.
